Our first Bolivian coffee offers a lively cup with raisin-like sweetness and malic, pineapple-like acidity.
Filter coffee:
Golden kiwi, raisins, brown sugar, candied lime, and pineapple-like acidity.
Espresso:
Lively and full-bodied cup with raisin and baked apple sweetness combined with bright pineapple-like acidity.
Cappuccino/Flat white:
Sweet and creamy cup that reminds us of apple pie.
The Producer:
Wilma Salvador and her daughters, Nassia and Jharka Salvador, operate Finca Monte Cielo. The estate sits at an altitude of 1650 masl, overlooking the jungle and neighbouring Fincas in Taipiplaya, Bolivia. This tranquil place welcomes you with a sea of colourful flowers and the scent of citrus fruits.
The Finca has been passed down for generations, and Wilma's daughters, especially Jharka, didn't let her give up on it. Instead, they convinced her to let them take over the coffee farm and start producing specialty coffee. Nassia has taken it upon herself to educate herself at every chance, and her sister is furthering the family business and her skills as a roaster and a barista in Berlin, Germany.
